Services has created a root certificate for securing web sites and other information on the campus LAN. If you are having trouble accessing a secure web site for UCF, download and install the following file as a Trusted Root Certification Authority.
Installation Instructions for Windows:
- Save the file UCFRoot.p7b to your desktop
- Right click on the file and choose 'Install Certificate'
- Accept all the defaults
Verification for Internet Explorer on Windows:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click Tools, Internet Options
- Select Content, then click Certificates
- Choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities
- Verify that a certificate titled University of Central Florida has been installed
Instructions for other operating systems will be posted as they are deemed necessary.
